Template for a forum report
Copy and fill in:
Version and build: (Help F1 › About, e.g. 0.11.2-beta+20261023.003fac6)
Windows: (11 / 10, language)
X-Plane: (version, e.g. 12.4.4)
What I did: (step by step)
What I expected:
What happened: (the exact error message)
Place: (tile / GPS, ICAO)
Happens: (always / sometimes / once)
If it is about how the scenery looks in X-Plane, attach an X-Plane screenshot and the GPS position (the Studio can copy it).
The zip with logs goes by e-mail, not to the forum
Help (F1) › Report a bug creates a zip with your description, logs and settings (the home folder, user name and computer name are replaced with placeholders; Show contents… shows exactly what is inside). Send it as an attachment to RFstudio@simulators.cz – and in the forum just say that you sent it. RF Studio never sends anything by itself.
Problem reports
The Report a problem button in the help header, the small Report button next to red error messages and Report a problem on an error screen create a zip file with your description and technical details. Nothing is sent – you save the file and send it yourself as an e-mail attachment to RFstudio@simulators.cz (the address is also in).
Fill in What happened?, What were you doing right before?, What did you expect to happen?, optionally E-mail for a reply (optional).
Choose Save to folder (Desktop by default) and optionally Omit file paths.
Show contents… shows exactly the files of the zip: description, system and version, settings, recent jobs, the end of the application and server logs, recent UI errors.
Save report (zip). The window then shows the file path, its size and Send to: RFstudio@simulators.cz (copy the address or the path with the button next to it). Show in folder opens File Explorer with the zip – send it as an e-mail attachment.
Your home folder and user name are replaced in the report with placeholders (%USERPROFILE%, <uzivatel>); optionally all paths are omitted. The anonymisation is an automatic heuristic – look at the content before saving. An e-mail, if you fill it in, stays in the file exactly as you wrote it.
When the interface crashes, a screen The RF Studio interface ran into an error appears with the buttons Report a problem, Reload and Try to continue. Your data are fine – the interface saves nothing by itself. When the application does not start at all, the error window offers Create an error report? and saves the zip on the Desktop.
A good report Write the steps so they can be repeated (tile, DSF, tool, parameters) and add the GPS of the place. One report = one problem.
Based on the RF Studio manual (F1 › Manual, version 0.11.2-beta). Post your questions and experience in this thread.
